Florence in 2 days

Florence is small — twenty minutes across the centre — so two days go to museums rather than to getting around. Day one is the cathedral and the Accademia, day two the Uffizi and the left bank of the Arno.

The dashed line shows the order of stops, not the path through the streets: the street-level route is built in the app, on foot or by car.

Day 1

The Duomo and the Accademia

The cathedral, the baptistery and Giotto's campanile share one square; the climb up the campanile takes both legs and patience. Then ten minutes to the Galleria dell'Accademia, where the David is.

Day 2

The Uffizi and Oltrarno

The Uffizi is half a day. After it, Ponte Vecchio carries you to the left bank, to the Pitti Palace and the Boboli gardens. It ends at Piazzale Michelangelo: the climb pays off, because the city appears whole from there, dome in the middle.
